Working With Nature

This online Study Guide is provided as a complement to the Working With Nature Series books:

FORESTS, TREES & WOOD
and
 FIRESTORM IN THE FOREST.

Our children have a strong desire to learn about forests and trees. This is not surprising since forest resources touch our lives everyday. Learning about natural resource management is the first step in learning to respect nature's importance.

Many natural resource professionals choose their careers to be close to nature.   Through years of study and generations of research they learn to use a combination of natural examples and scientific techniques to positively influence the ways we participate in nature.  Whether or not people are active participants in the environment, they remain an integral part of the natural ecosystem.  What we choose to do as well as what we choose not to do influences the world around us.  The "Working With Nature" series by Red Tail Publishing tells the positive story of people working in nature.

Our awareness of our role in nature also comes with a responsibility to be good stewards.  It is for our children that this example of good stewardship must be set, for they are the forestry professionals of tomorrow.

These study guides haves been prepared by Red Tail Publishing as companion tools for FORESTS, TREES & WOOD and FIRESTORM  IN THE FOREST.

Parents or teachers may wish to adapt the material in these guides to suit the learning level of the children.
